Followers of Jesus are blessed with the holy presences of God. They are designed by him to be a blessing and to walk with Jesus to bring his blessing to nations. At the heart of this blessing is the hospitality of the kingdom, inviting people into the love, life and light of Jesus.

Remember BLESS: Be the presence and peace of Jesus; love people and listen to their stories; enjoy building relationships and eat together; see that God is already at work; show Jesus as you share your life, serve needs and speak his love and truth. We can pray for a blessing in Jesus name, we can show a blessing through hospitality and we can speak blessing in Jesus name to release the tangible goodness of God.

Jesus invites those who belong to him to walk with him on a QUEST to show people his way of life. This is a quest to make disciples who will make disciples. It is a quest to invite people to meet Jesus through a step by step pathway of learning the Jesus Walk, becoming those who belong to God, bless and join the quest to make disciples of all nations.

Scriptures

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Colossians 4:2-6 (NIV)

1. Belong

We show hospitality as people who belong to Jesus and walk in His non anxious presence.

Some passages to take to heart in preparing for the time:

 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

“Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”

1 Peter 2:9-10 (NLT)

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Matt 11:28-30 (The Message)

Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.” Jacob-wrestling God fights for us, GOD of angel armies protects us.

Psalm 46:10 (The Message)

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

The LORD Almighty is with us;

the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Psalm 46:10-11 (NIV)

2. Bless

We walk in a lifestyle of blessing in the community. Bringing  the aroma  of Christ, loving people and listening to them, enjoy the bbq meal and building relationships, seeing that God is already at work, showing and speaking Jesus.

We bless with the joy of Christ’s presence.

May God be gracious to us and bless us

and make his face shine on us—

so that your ways may be known on earth,

your salvation among all nations.

May the peoples praise you, God;

may all the peoples praise you.

Psalm 67:1-3 (NIV)

3. Quest

We are on a quest to make disciples who will make disciples. We take one step at a time. Have one conversation at a time. We are attentive to God in prayer and intentions to point people to the love of Jesus.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
